Hello,
On the extremely hot 25th of June I went to Geilenkirchen with 2 mates.
After a firm walk of about 45 minutes in the burning sun from the busstation we came near the threshold of runway 09.
It was worth the walk though, because just about 20 minutes later the first E-3 started up: LX-N90448, to fly a mission as NATO02.
It's mission was together with a tanker, which started up just 5 minutes later: 59-1450 as ESSO76.

Not too long later, LX-N90444 requested startup clearance as NATO07.

After it's takeoff around 10:40 we had to wait until 13:30 for the next one.
This was LX-N90454, flying as NATO40. It went to fly "some" patterns and ended up doing at least 15 touch and go's and low approaches. (what a sound )
Sadly it took off from runway 27, but that's not that big of a problem anyway.
